PURPOSE:To easily adjust shaft alignment by installing a cylindrical electrode on a music wire which is vertically hung down along a main shaft while measuring a horizontal distance between said electrode and said main shaft without contact by the use of a measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical electrode bar 9 is installed on a music wire 1 which is vertically hung down along a main shaft 4, and a measuring device consisting of a gap sensor 5, an adjust screw 6, a measuring rod 7 and a measuring instrument 8, is provided in between the electrode bar 9 and the main shaft 4. And, by adjusting the distance between the main shaft 4 and the electrode bar 9 so as to be constant in each part, through a gap length (a) and the adjusted quantity of the adjust screw 6, the shaft alignment of the main shaft 4 can be easily adjusted while enabling highly accurate centering since there is no contact between the measuring device and the music wire.
