PURPOSE:To obtain an image pickup device suitable for a small sized video camera, by arranging a bias light lighting member which introduces efficiently luminous flux from a light source with a simple constitution at a part of a photographing optical device, and gives uniformly a bias light to an image forming plane of the photographing optical system. CONSTITUTION:Reflecting planes 14-1, 14-2 are formed flat or with a curved surface. In order to reflect efficiently the luminous flux from the light source to irradiating planes 14-3, 14-4, it is preferable to form the reflecting planes 14-1, 14-2 with a curved surface collecting light. The type of material of a luminous flux splitter 14 can be a conventional optical glass, but an optional shape is attained easily by forming it with plastic such as acrylic or polycarbonate resin. Two light conducting members 15, 16 are arranged respectively near the luminous flux splitter 14. The irradiating planes 15-2 and 15-2 are arranged at a position corresponding to upper/lower right or left/right of the effective screen of the photographing optical system and at the outside of the effective surface of a lens 1. |
