PURPOSE:To manufacture uniform silver halide particles with high reproducibility in a manufacturing apparatus in which an aqueous halogen salt soln. and an aqueous silver salt soln. are simultaneously added to a reaction vessel filled with an aqueous colloidal soln., by piercing a draining outlet in a part of a soln. adding line in the apparatus, and placing a check valve in the adding outlet of the line in the reaction vessel to add timely the solns. with ease. CONSTITUTION:A soln. prepared in a container 10 for dissolving halogen salt or silver salt is fed to a reaction vessel 12 filled with a colloidal soln. through an adding line 11. By opening a four-way valve 15, a draining outlet 16 is opened to discharge the soln. until the initial flow rate is stabilized. When a desired flow rate is attained, the outlet 16 is closed, a downstream outlet 11b is opened, and at the same time, a check valve 20 is opened to add the reactive soln. to the vessel 12. Thus, the amount of the soln. added in the early stage is made uniform at all times, and both reactive solns. are timely added with easy, so a fixed number of nuclear particles can be produced at all times, and silver halide particles of a uniform particle size can be stably manufactured with high reproducibility. |
