PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency and the reliability of format change processing by copying only contents of a card table which correspond to fields in new format in the card take of the old format to a card in new format, according to correspondence display between new and old fields held in the table. CONSTITUTION:When an operator inputs a format change indication on a keyboard display part 11, a new format generation part 12 reads image information in old format out of an old format image buffer 16 and an old field definition information area 18 to display it on a screen. Then, image information in new format generated by correcting the old format is stored in a new format image buffer 19 and a new field definition information area 21. Then, the generation part 12 actuates an old-new field correspondence specifying part 13 to establish the correspondence between the fields in the old and new formats. Then, the field correspondence specifying part 13 takes out the pieces of information on the old and new formats out of the area 16, 18, 19, and 21, and numbers the old fields in series to display data in new fields having coincident attributes and positions together with corresponding numbers. |
