PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional accuracy of products by adding a lubricant after packing hard powder and before press-molding it in manufacturing stages. CONSTITUTION:When a sintered hard alloy is manufactured by a powder metallurgical method, a lubricant is usually added before the manufacturing stages. The lubricant is liable to vaporize or sticks to the apparatus, so it can not be added by a fixed amount, and sintered hard products are extremely uneven in dimensional accuracy. In this invention, after packing hard powder in stages for manufacturing a sintered hard alloy, a lubricant such as camphor or liq. paraffin is added by about 1wt% of the amount of the filled powder, and press- molding is carried out. |
