PURPOSE:To grasp modes of an image forming device easily by varying the count number of a total counter according to one-surface image formation, both-surface image formation, and image formation size. CONSTITUTION:An input signal from a terminal 1 is ''0'' in one-surface copy mode, but an inverter 4 opens an AND gate 5 and the signal is outputted directly from an output terminal 10 to the total counter. Then, a counter detects one pulse signal and its contents increase by one. In both-surface copy mode, an AND gate 3 is opened, so the signal is outputted from a circuit A to the total counter through an output terminal 10. Inverters 6 and 8 and an integrating circuit 7 are a pulse delay circuit, whose output signal is EX-ORed with the original input signal to generate two pulses from one input signal pulse. Consequently, the total counter inputs two pulses in both-surface copy mode to perform addition for two sheets. Further, when a paper of A4 or B5 size, the counter counts up by one in one-surface copy mode or by two in both-surface copy mode, and when the paper is of B4 or A3 size, the total counter counts up by two in one-side copy mode or by four in both-surface copy mode. Thus, the count value is varied according to the combinations of form size and discriminated by a microcomputer 23. |
