PURPOSE:To obtain large exciting power by connecting a transformer to an armature winding and flowing a current due to an AC voltage induced at the secondary winding to the armature winding. CONSTITUTION:Armature windings 1, 11, 21 are coupled in a double star connection, and the primary windings 6, 16, 26 of a transformer 2 are respectively connected to the external connection ends ap-cp of the armature windings. Middle points aq and aq', bq and bq', cq and cq' of parallel windings for connecting between the external connecting terminals ap-cp and a neutral point 31 in each phase of double star connection of the armature windings are electrically connected to both terminals aq-aq'-cq-cq' of the secondary windings 3, 13, 23 of the transformer 2, and AC currents due to the AC voltages induced at the secondary windings 3, 13, 23 of the transformer 2 are flowed to the armature windings. |
