<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize steerability in the range of the overall car speed by connecting the front wheel to the rear wheel turning means by a rod member and providing said rod member with a link mechanism for changeover of the rear wheel steering direction in the captioned device turning the rear wheel in response to turning of the front wheel. CONSTITUTION:A piston rod 4 is put in straight advancing movement by operation of a steering wheel 1 through a gear box 3 and said movement is aided by action of a power cylinder 5 so as to turn the front wheel 8. Further, an operational means composed of a link 13, rod 15, fulcrum variable lever 16 and a rod 20 is provided so as to transmit movement of the piston rod 4 to a link 22 of a rear wheel turning means. Furthermore, one end of an L-shaped link 29 is engaged with the rod 15 by means of a pin, while the other end of the link 29 is pivoted to one end of an L type link 19 through a rod 30. The other end of said link 19 is engaged with a groove 16a of the fulcrum variable lever 16 through a pin 19a, while a fulcrum 19a of the lever 16 is changed according to the steering quantity.</p> |
