PURPOSE:A herbicide composition for rice fields that is composed of a novel chloroacetanilide derivative and a specific pyrazole derivative or alpha-(2-naphthoxy)-propionanilide, thus showing long-term inhibition of weed growth. CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicidal composition for rice fields is composed of at least one of novel 2',6'-diethyl-N-[(cis-alkenyloxy)methyl]-2-chloroacetanilides of formula I (R is cis C4-5 alkenyl), at least one of pyrazole derivatives of formula II (R is H, methyl; X is 4-toluenesulfonyl, benzoylmethyl) or alpha-(2-naphthoxy)-propionanilide of formula III. Especially, application of the composition in pre- or post-transplantation of rice plant or the beginning of weed growing produces long-term herbicidal effect enough to make subsequent weeding unnecessary by only one application. |
