PURPOSE:To maintain a bearing under an always well lubricated condition, by providing a grease ejecting passage at a stationary ring of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A bearing unit 20 includes a bearing 22 comprising an inner ring 24 engaged with a rotating output shaft 10 to form a rotary ring and an outer ring 26 fixedly held in a bearing housing 30 to form a stationary ring. The rotating output shaft 10 is formed with a plurality of grease supplying passages 14a axially extending from one shaft end 12 which passages 14a are adapted to be plugged by male threaded plugs 18. The bearing housing 30 is formed with a grease ejecting passage 32 at a position just close to the outer ring 26 of the bearing 22 in opposed relationship to a radial groove 14c. A predetermined supply amount of grease is supplied to the bearing unit 20 by means of a grease gun 40 at an appropriate time, thereby lubricating the bearing 22. An excessive amount of the grease is ejected from the grease ejecting passage 32 by a centrifugal force due to the rotation of the bearing 22. |
