In order to mount an electrical connecting socket (1) in a wall panel, the socket is inserted into an opening in the wall panel (10, 11) from the outside. The socket (1) has the shape of a cylinder with one open side. The socket (1) has bearing projections (2) which engage on the opening side. The socket has cable openings (3), which are provided on the cylindrical jacket of the socket. After insertion of the sockets (1), it is locked to the wall panel (10, 11) by mounting elements (4) which are inserted into cable openings (3) which are not used for cables. The mounting elements (4) have supporting vanes which, in the inserted position of the element (4) press with a predetermined force against the rearside of the wall panel (10, 11) in order to fix and retain the socket (1). <IMAGE> |
