PURPOSE:An electric or gas rice boiler is provided with a small vessel of heat- resistant material inside and at the same time when rice is boiled as usual, another cooking is made in the vessel, thus enabling parallel cooking of usual boiled rice and gruel rice using only one cooker. CONSTITUTION:For example, when rice is boiled in the boiler 3 and gruel rice is made in the heat-resistant vessel 1, first of all, usual volumes of rice 5 and water 6 are charged in the boiler 3. In the meantime, the vessel 1 is filled with the rice to be cooked into gruel 7 and water 8 whose amount is 2-3 times that of water 6 in proportion. At this time, it is desirable that the bottom of the vessel sinks in the water 6. In this state, boiling is started and the heater 4 boils the rice in the boiler 3, further heats the vessel 1 to begin cooking the gruel therein. Heating of the vessel 1 with hot water 6 has the same effect as heating the vessel with a weak fire. As rice boiling proceeds in the boiler 3, the gruel rice in the vessel 1 is cooked similarly. Thus, parallel cooking of usual boiled rice and gruel rice can be done in one cooker. |
