PURPOSE:To enable the loading of the platen with a paper accurately by positioning an auxiliary guide plate over almost the whole area of the circumferential surface of the platen between a deflector and a paper bail roller when the tip of the paper is guided. CONSTITUTION:When a paper 3 is inserted between a platen 1 and a pressure roller 4, with the start of power supply to a solenoid, an auxiliary guide plate 19 turns to the position as indicated by the two-dot chain line from the position as indicated by the solid line so that the auxiliary guide plate 19 faces almost the whole area of the circumferential surface of the platen 1 between the deflector 2 and the paper bail roller 15. Then, the tip of the paper 3 is guided with the auxiliary guide plate 19 and inserted between the paper bail roller 15 and the platen 1. After the tip of the paper 3 is set on the platen 1, the power supply to the solenoid is stopped and the auxiliary guide plate 19 is returned to the original standby position. |
