摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a titled wire having excellent feedability and resistance to spatter by maintaining the dissociation oxygen pressure of Fe2SiO4 within a specified limit in an annealing stage in producing a steel wire for arc welding from a hot rolled blank material. CONSTITUTION:The CO/CO2 in a furnace is controlled to maintain the dissociation pressure of Fe2SiO4 within about + or -10 times of the equil. dissociation oxygen potential thereof in an annealing stage of a wire removed of the scale on the steel surface by a mechanical method or pickling. The FeO/Fe in the furnace is balanced at around the equil. oxygen partial pressure at which the oxidized layer of FeO is made internally in the wire surface and the formation of a higher oxide such as Fe3O4 or Fe2O3 is obviated. The steel wire for arc welding having stable feedability and resistance to spatter in wire welding is thus produced. |
