The hinge half has a pin permanently secured inside its sleeve portion by means of protrusions or ridges penetrating into plate material forming the hinge half. The ridges, pref. running round the pin, are arranged in groups and separated by portions of smaller dia. The ridges are pressed into the plate material after pin insertion by a rolling tool. |
