[Also in Division A5] Compounds of the formula where R and R<SP>1</SP> are C 1 _ 4 alkyl, or R<SP>1</SP> is C 1 _ 4 alkoxy or aryl, X is oxygen or sulphur, R<SP>2</SP> is halogen, lower alkyl or alkoxy, and n is 1 or 2, are prepared by reacting an appropriate 3- hydroxy - benzo - 1,2,4 - triazine with a phosphorus halide of formula (RO)(R<SP>1</SP>)P(X)Hal, preferably in the presence of a solvent and an acid acceptor, and at a temperature from 20‹ to 120‹ C. or the boiling point of the mixture, if lower. The compounds have pesticidal activity. |
