[Also in Division G1] A closure cap adapted to seal a filler opening in a tank for liquids comprises a seal member 126 resiliently engageable with a seal surface around the opening and a transparent element 32K which extends through the cap, the element being carried by the seal member, the lower end 58K of the element having a surface inclined so that incident light at the upper end is transmitted therethrough when the lower end is below, and is reflected back therefrom to the upper end when the lower end is above, the level of liquid in the tank. The cap assembly comprises a sheet material cap member 112 having an aperture through which the upper part 106 of the indicator extends. The member 112 is sealed to the part 106 by a washer 114 and sealing ring 116. The radiator cap assembly 110 also includes a pressure relief valve assembly 120 and a sealing gasket 126. |
