<p>Rolled steel strip is subjected to a mechanical treatment to make it uniform and smooth, and then to a washing of conventional type consisting of light surface removal and chemical and electrolytic degreasing. The band is then passed through an electrolytic bath contg. a zinc salt, at 40-100 deg.C and pH 1-5, using the steel strip as cathode and placing at least one soluble anode with zinc as principal component, in front of the surface it is desired to coat with zinc.</p> |
