摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the preservability and the chemical resistance of color formed image by arranging at least one of a protective layer to contain a cross- linking agent or a hardening agent to cross link or harden an adjoining protective layer in reaction with main components thereof in a heat sensitive recording sheet containing an acid substant for forming color in a leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:A protective film comprising more than one protective layers laminated on a heat sensitive color formation layer is provided and a crosslinking agent or a hardening agent is contained in at least one layer thereof so as to react with components of the protective layer itself and adjoining one. In addition, a different crosslinking agent or a hardening agent is contained in each protective layer or a self-cross linking component is used provide a strong cross linging or hardening reaction thereby improving the water resistance and chemical resistance. A fine powder of calcium carbonate or the like is added to the upper most layer of the laminated protective layer to improve the clarity of a color-formed image while a lubricant such as linseed oil to enable further improvement in the running property of a thermal head.
