发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the lubricity and traveling durability of a magnetic recording medium as well as the traveling performance at high humidity by allowing a projection-shaped org. lubricant to be adsorbed on the surface of the ferromagnetic metallic thin film of the medium formed on the nonmagnetic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The height of a projection-shaped org. lubricant fit for this invention is 30-1,000Angstrom , preferably 50-500Angstrom , more preferably 100-300Angstrom . In case of <30Angstrom height, it is difficult to provide traveling durability, and in case of >1,000Angstrom height, envelope is liable to be disturbed. The density of the org. lubricant is >=1,000 pieces/mm.<2>, preferably >=5,000 pieces/mm.<2>. In case of <1,000 pieces/mm.<2> density, traveling durability and stable traveling performance at high humidity are not provided. A compound having a polar group moiety which is adsorbed on a metallic thin film and a long chain alkyl group for improving the lubricity as a nonpolar moiety is suitable for use as the org. lubricant, and higher fatty acid, higher fatty acid ester, higher fatty acid amide, metallic salt of higher fatty acid, higher aliphatic alcohol or a mixture thereof is used.
