PURPOSE:To prevent damage without making a magnetic head and a magnetic disk hit against each other or making the magnetic heads hit each other by constituting so that a buffer means operates when a holder moves to a set position and control force is put on a movement of the magnetic head or a pad. CONSTITUTION:When a holder 3 moves and a slide-contact rotary roll 7 comes to a position where it is detached from a holding supporting face of a guide groove 8, the holder 3 drops into a set position by energizin force of a spring. In this case, an engaging roll 6 descends, pushing an inclined face of a pushing- up part 15 provided on a reciprocating plate 4 in the direction opposite to the direction A, therefore, the reciprocating plate 4 also moves in the direction opposite to the direction A. Following this movement, a piston 17b is moved in the drawing-out direction from in a cylinder 17a fitted to a machine frame with a pin 35, therefore, a brake is applied to the movement of the reciprocating plate 4 and the drop of the holder 3 by resistance force put onto this piston 17b, and a magnetic head 23 also drops softly, receiving the brake, and is made to press-contact softly onto a magnetic disk face being in a set position. |
