A hauling device for mounting aboard trawlers consists of a box profile 1 placed athwart the trawler at the stern end. Inside the box profile 1 there is a moveable cart 2, which can move forward and backward by means of a chain 4, wire, belt, spindle or other similar hauling arrangement. The cart 2 has a suspension arrangement which sticks out through a lengthwise slot 16 in the box profile 1 for suspension of a block 29. The warps to the trawl net run around blocks 26, 27 arranged at the gunwale and up around the block 29 of the cart and from that further out to the trawl net. The device comprises an additional cart 3, which can run freely in the box profile 1 at the side of the first cart 2 which is furthest away from the blocks 26, 27 at the gunwale. At the end of the box profile 1 which is opposite the blocks 26, 27 at the gunwale, there is a detachable catching mechanism 18 for securing the second cart 3 when it comes into this end. The catching mechanism 18 can consist of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 24, which engages in a hole in the cart 20, where the oil is taken from an existing net sounding capstan, or it can be a pawl mechanism. The hauling device is suitable for bottom trawling, in addition to surface trawling, since the trawl scoops can be set down and taken in on either side of the trawler. <IMAGE> |
