MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a highly-antimagnetic and highly-reliable magnetic recording medium for high density recording, by a method wherein a specific ferromagnetic alloy and a nonmagnetic metal being insoluble in solid intrinsically in said ferromagnetic alloy are mixed uniformly with each other to form a metal thin film. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic thin film is provided, which is formed of a material which is formed by mixing uniformly from a macroscopic point of view a ferromagnetic alloy and a nonmagnetic metal or alloy being insoluble in solid intrinsically in said ferromagnetic alloy or little soluble in solid therein and which is expressed by a composition formula: A1-xBx (0.25<=X<=0.8) wherein said ferromagnetic alloy is denoted by A and said nonmagnetic metal or alloy by B. The ferromagnetic alloy used herein is expressed by a formula: R(R=¦K1¦/ M<2>s, wherein ¦K1¦ denotes the absolute value [erg/cm<3>] of a crystallomagnetic anisotropy constant proper to the ferromagnetic alloy, and Ms a saturation magnetization value [emu/cm<3>]) of less than 0.1 which is proper to the ferromagnetic alloy.
