PURPOSE:To straighten a wire thereby to allow the same to be reliably and efficiently wound on a toroidal core, by providing a slide plate on a wire chuck which draws out the wire projecting from a core hole in the toroidal core, and squeezing the wire through a groove part of the slide plate. CONSTITUTION:A wire 2 is gripped by a gripper 5 positioned on the upper side of a toroidal core 1 and is inserted into a core hole 4. The gripper 5 is opened in the direction of the arrow A to release the wire 2 from the grip. Simultaneously, the end portion of the wire 2 is clamped by elastic members 15a, 15b. A wire chuck 13 lowers, and the wire 2 is drawn out. The gripper 5 on the upper side of the toroidal core 1 is moved around to an intermediate position between the toroidal core 1 and the wire chuck 13 and grips the wire 2. As the wire chuck 13 is further moved downwardly, since the wire 2 is firmly gripped by the gripper 5, the wire 2 and the elastic members 15a, 15b come in slide contact with each other along groove portions of the elastic members 15a, 15b, whereby the wire 2 is squeezed and any bend or inclination is straightened. |
