PURPOSE:To leave nearly all mixed soil and sand in an excavated pit without discharging the soil and sand to the ground's surface by a method in which the soil and sand of the wall portion of an excavated pit is consolidated toward the outside of the excavated pit while excavating the ground to form a pit larger than the cross-sectional area of the excavated pit. CONSTITUTION:A pit 2 is excavated by means of a bit 9 while turning an excavating shaft 7, a consolidator 10 goes down with the excavating shaft 7, and the soil and sand of the wall of the pit 2 are consolidated in the direction of arrow. As a result, a pit 3 larger than the cross-sectional area of the pit 2 is formed and the excavated soil and sand and a solidifying liquid 6, e.g., cement milk, etc., discharged from a discharge port 17 are nearly all left behind in the pit 3 without being discharge to the ground's surface. In the pit 3, the excavated soil and sand and the solidifying liquid 6 are kneaded together by a stirrer 15 to form mixed soil and sand 8 which forms continuous pillars or an underground continuous wall. |
