PURPOSE:To receive accurately a character broadcast at all times, by having automatic waveform shaping of a received signal into a binary signal in case the waveform varies for a character multiplex signal to be received owing to a change of the transmission state during the transmission. CONSTITUTION:A received character multiplex signal is pedestal clamped 16 by a waveform shaping circuit 8 and then sliced by slice level circuits 17A- 17E to receive waveform shaping. Then the slice output with which the output signal at the part of a clock run-in signal CR repeats correctly ''I'' and ''O'', that is, the output that is correctly sliced is discriminated 18A-18B among those slice outputs. Thus the optimum slice output is decided, and only this slice output is selected automatically and supplied to a processing circuit on a rear stage. |
