PURPOSE:To make the maintenance and administration of a dam easier by using a system in which the valve of a drain tube is interlocked with the float of an automatic device, and when the float goes up to a given level, the valve is automatically opened to discharge water in the dam. CONSTITUTION:When the level of river water reaches a design falling water level, a float 7 goes up, a stopper 9 is separated from a ratchet 10, a wire 12 is pulled toward the direction of arrow by a weight W, a drum 11 and the ratchet 10 are turned in the direction of arrow, the weight W goes down, and a rotary wheel 13 is turned. A rotary wheel 14 is also turned, the valve 4 is opened and led to a drain pipe P, and at the same time the valve 2 is also operated to discharge air inside the dam 1 through an air exhaust and drain pipe P1 and an air supply tube P2 to the outside. The dam 1 is fallen and water stored in the dam 1 is discharged through the drain pipe P3 from the tube P1 to the downstream side of the dam 1. |
