PURPOSE:To minimize the size of a captioned injector by arranging a high-pressure fuel passage to guide the high-pressure fuel generated in a fuel-pressurizing mechanism to the top of a needle valve along the periphery of the axis of the needle valve for supporting the rear end part of the said valve on a plunger to be slid. CONSTITUTION:A plunger 34 is inserted into a sliding hole 33 bored on the axis part of a cylindrical casing 32 to be easily slid, and provided with a guide hole 35 at its top to be reciprocated by the rotation of a cam 39. At the top of the casing 32, a nozzle body 41 is fixed by a holder 42 via a spacer 40, and between this spacer 40 and the plunger 34, a pressure chamber 44 is partitioned The nozzle body 41 is provided with several nozzles 45, which are connected to the pressure chamber 44 via a high-pressure fuel passage 46 provided on the nozzle 41. Meanwhile, a needle valve 48 to open and close nozzles 45 is contained in the high-pressure fuel passage 46, and the rear end of the said valve 48 is inserted into a guide hole 35 to be easily slid. |
