PURPOSE:To make it possible to control an air-fuel ratio in a stable range around the limit of stability of an engine, in a device for carrying out the feed- back control of the air-fuel ratio in accordance with a signal from a means for detecting the transverse oscillation amount of the engine, by obtaining a compensating factor of feed-back which varies in accordance with the value of the transverse oscillation amount. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 1 transversely oscillates during engine operation, the position of a laser beam which irradiates a light receiving part 7 from a light projecting part 6, varies, and therefore, the associated photo-diode in a sensor part 10 is energized through a light transmitting passage 8, etc., in accordance with the irradiated position. Then, the sensor part 10 counts a time for the movement of the irradiated position from its original position to the above-mentioned photo-diode, and issues the thus obtained time as a sensor signal to a control unit 14 through a wave shaping circuit 13. This control unit 14 controls to increase the feed-back compensating factor of the air-fuel ratio with the sum of a proportional value and integrated value when the input signal is larger than a reference value, but to decrease the above- mentioned compensating factor with the integrated value alone when the input signal is smaller than the reference value, thereby the air-fuel ratio is controlled as previously expected. |
