摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the gas bearing performance by providing with an air compressor driven by an engine or a motor and feeding the high-pressure air generated in said air compressor into the lower part of a dynamic pressure type journal gas bearing which supports the revolution shaft of a turbosupercharger. CONSTITUTION:Turbine blades 13 of a turbosupercharger 2 are revolved by the exhaust gas discharged into an exhaust manifold 11 by the operation of an engine 1, and a compressor vane wheel 23 installed coaxially 12 with said vane wheel 13 is revolved, and air is supercharged to the engine 1. An air compressor 3 is operated through a transmission mechanism including a belt 5 by the revolution of the engine 1. The high-pressure air formed in the air compressor 3 is supplied into the dynamic pressure type journal gas bearing 19 of the turbo supercharger 2 through a discharge pipe 8 equipped with cooling fins 9, and an air film is formed between the bearing 19 and the revolution shaft 12 by feeding the high pressure air from an air feeding hole 21. Thus, contact between the revolution shaft 12 and the bearing 19 is prevened, and the durability of the bearing 19 is improved.
