The present invention relates to a metering and dispensing device for automatic coffee machines and the like. The device consists of a piston 6 axially mobile in relation to a powder container 3 and actuated by a connecting rod-crank mechanism 11, the free end of the connecting rod being articulated on a pivot 12 integral with the rod 5 of the piston, a lever 14 which oscillates along with the connecting rod 11 and is provided at its lower part with a stop member 18, being articulated on the said pivot 12 so as to place itself below a small column integral with the filter in order to lift the filter during the return travel of the piston 6, a lever 23 for limiting the amount dispensed being mounted so as to be able to oscillate on the pivot 5, which lever is fitted with a transverse spatula 26 and carries out pendular movements under the action of the pivot 12 to move the spatula 26 into contact with the mouthpiece of the container to remove the excess powder, then to expel laterally the used coffee pellet during the forward and return travels of the connecting rod towards the upper neutral position, means 21 returning the filter to the bottom of the container, as soon as the connecting rod 11 has disengaged the lever intended to lift the filter. <IMAGE> |
