Combined with the vehicle starting switch (4) is an analog storage device connected by an A/D connector (2) to the digital control system which may be a computer so that information can be stored regarding the value of a previous voltage used for injections. This can be used as the starting value for injection for a cold start. This analog storage device is a capacitor (C1) in series with a diode (D1) controlling its charge, a resistance (R1) and the starting switch contact, for connection to the battery voltage (UB). The testing line for the A/D converter is connected to the junction between the resistance and the diode. The starting pulse (A) also connected to a terminal (E) at one end of a diode (D2) also connected to the junction point, which conducts when a negative pulse is applied. Connectors to the junction between the first diode and the capacitor is a quenching transistor (T) with a control line (S) for the digital control system.
