摘要 The device identifies the profile of an object 16 which has the shape of a solid of revolution and which is being carried on a conveyor 18 moving in a direction perpendicular to the axis of revolution X-X of the object in question. The device consists of a light source 10 which is placed on one side of the conveyor 18 and which emits a collimated light beam 12 directed towards the object. The light beam sweeps over a plane P parallel to the axis of revolution. Light sensitive detectors Di are situated in the sweeping plane P on the same side of the conveyor 18 as the light source 10.
