PURPOSE:To decrease the number of keys, by controlling the time display by deciding automatically the setting of second or the setting of hour/minute in accordance with combinations of time setting keys and the number of digits of numerical keys of an electronic calculator with timepiece. CONSTITUTION:The numbers and data fed through a keyboard 2 are stored in an RAM4 by a command of an arithmetic circuit 1 in accordance with a program stored in an ROM3 and calculated. The result of this calculation is sent to a register 5 and displayed 7 via a decoder driver 6. The timing data of the RAM3 is advanced with the second signal produced from a reference signal generating circuit 8. With push of only time setting key TSK on the keyboard 2, 0-second is reset under display of 0-29sec and 0-second is reset after one minute under display of 30-59sec respectively. When the key TSK is pushed after two digits, e.g., 45 are fed, 45sec are set. While the key TSK is pushed with input of 3-4 digits, e.g., 345, 3hr and 45min are set. Thus only one TSK key suffices with time setting keys to decrease the number of keys. |
