PURPOSE:To enable an inner ring to constantly follow the inclination of a rotary shaft, by a method wherein, in a spherical seat formed by the spherical outer surface of the inner ring rotatably supporting a rotary shaft and the spherical inner surface of an outer ring, a gap between the inner and the outer ring is set to a distance being given-fold as long as a spherical diameter. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 1 is rotatably supported by an inner ring 12 having a white metal 4. The inner ring 12 has a spherical outer surface 13 and is rotatably supported by an outer ring 14 having a spherical inner surface 15. The center 17 of the spherical parts of the inner and the outer ring is positioned on a center axis 16 of the rotary shaft 1. A gap, being 0.06/1,000-0.12/1,000 times as long as a spherical diameter, is provided between the outer surface 13 of the inner ring 12 and the inner surface 15 of the outer ring 14. This permits the inner ring 12 to follow any inclination of the rotary shaft 1 and any deformation and inclination of bearing holding parts 9 and 10, and enables prevention of a local increase in film pressure at bearing ends. |
