PURPOSE:To form a clutch device in a compact size and enable a clutch to be surely engaged and disengaged by a large pressing area, by allowing a ring- shaped piston to press the internal gear of a planetary gear device in the shaft direction and enabling said internal gear to be fixed or set free. CONSTITUTION:A planet gear 4 rotatably fitted to a carrier 6 integrally formed with an output shaft 2 is engaged with both a sun gear 3 integrally formed with an input shaft 1 and an internal gear 7. The device is operated as a planetary gear type reduction gear by allowing a ring-shaped piston 10 to press the internal gear 7 in the shaft direction, while its transmission is disconnected by releasing pressing force of the piston 10. |
