PURPOSE:To obtain better mixing of fuel-air mixture and to improve combustibility by installing a vibrator plug within air-fuel-mixture atmosphere and impressing pulsating high voltage on said plug. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head of a gasoline engine is provided with a vibrator plug 2 as well as an ignition plug 1, while said plug 2 is connected to an AC high voltage power supply that impresses pulsating high voltage on the plug 2. During engine operation, air-fuel mixture is given vibration by vibration waves created at the plug 2 for better mixing in the mixture. With this contrivance, ignition and combustion of the air-fuel mixture can be performed with high performance while the engine output can be enhanced. |
