发明名称 PERPENDICULAR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To magnetically separate crystal grains from each other and obtain an ultra-high density magnetic recording medium, by further adding to a Co-Cr alloy at least one of zirconium, niobium and technetium as a third element. CONSTITUTION:Not larger than 20wt% at least one of Zr, Nb and Tc is further added to a Co-Cr alloy. If the amount of addition of Zr, Nb or Tc exceeds 20wt%, the resultant film greatly lowers in crystallizability and suddenly deteriorates in perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. By the addition of Zr, Nb or Tc, it is possible to obtain a perpendicular magnetic recording medium greatly exceeding the limit of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in Co-Cr binary alloys, and the recording density characteristics can be greatly improved.
