The invention relates to a pocket-format electronic notebook; this notebook is personal, that is to say to be filled in by the user, like a traditional address book. The machine is not programable and provides only the notebook function. The user has available a keyboard allowing typing in the thirty-six alphanumeric characters, and comprising the read and write function keys; by means of this keyboard he asks to read or write the desired information. The latter are displayed on the screen. Moreover, repetition of the read command provides the correlating scrolling of the data stored in the memory on screen. <IMAGE>
