Device for picking grape clusters or individual grapes for a mechanical harvester of the type comprising a plurality of flexible parallel superimposed blades carried by a vertical support. The said vertical support 11 is hitched to a mechanism which gives it a reciprocating translational movement along an arc of a circle in the course of which, while remaining parallel to itself, or approximately parallel to itself, it moves up towards the vegetation and down away from it; in such a way that the flexible blades 12 enter the vegetation with a rising movement and leave it with a descending movement, all the time remaining horizontal or approximately horizontal. <IMAGE>
