The invention relates to a highly efficient course-stabilising fin for kayaks, in which the fin blade can be lifted out of the water during travel or immersed to varying depths and can overshoot upon coming in contact with an obstacle. The fin blade plunges by its own weight or by spring force roughly perpendicularly into the water and, on account of the fluid-dynamic pressure balance at the bottom edge, has the shape of a narrow, upright rectangle and plunges substantially deeper into the water than the hull of the boat. |
