PURPOSE:To improve a space factor and shorten sample replacing time while simultaneously taking out and housing samples from and into a rack by returning already used samples to their original positions inside the rack where the samples are housed. CONSTITUTION:A rack 8 for housing plural samples 4 at a prescribed interval to be freely take out and stored from and into said rack is provided, and any sample is taken out from a prescribed position while shifting the rack 8 by the prescribed interval by use of a means 5. Then, at least one among the taken out samples is supplied to a waiting position and any sample previously taken out and present at said waiting position is supplied to an inspection position by making use of a means 7. The sample supplied to the inspection position is sent to an inspection means and any sample for which an inspection has been completed is returned to said waiting position. The sample returned in this way is shifted in the rack displacing direction at the inspection position by a certain amount related to the displacement amount of the rack 8, and thus shifted sample is returned by making use of a means 7 prescribed position to the rack position where said sample was housed. |
