For the continuous determination of the dielectric constant of bulk material, a rod-shape measuring probe (1) is used, the two capacitor electrodes of which are formed by a tube section (5) and an electrode body (7) coaxially arranged at a distance therefrom, between which an insulating body (6) is attached. The closed measuring probe enables a measurement to be made within a bulk material stream (2) at a distance from the bottom and from the surface so that irregularities in the bulk material stream occurring there remain without influence on the measurement. <IMAGE>
