Novel heterocyclically substituted 2-fluoro-t-butyl- 1,3,4-thiadiazoles of the formula I <IMAGE> in which X represents hydrogen or fluorine and Y represents one of the following cyclic urea radicals: <IMAGE> where R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy or alkoxyalkyl, R<1> is acyl; R<2> is alkyl, and A is a carbonyl group or sulphur, a variety of processes for their preparation, and their use as herbicides.
