In order to be able to carry out peak-pressure measurements using piezoelectric measurement elements without a power supply for measurement and storage, a capacitor is connected on the one hand to the measurement element and on the other hand to contacts for picking off the measurement signal. In each case one diode is connected in series, with the forward direction opposing the voltage produced on the measurement element, and in parallel between this capacitor and the measurement element, as a result of which the peak value remains on the capacitor even after the pressure falls.
