PURPOSE:To make it possible to gather bulk materials from an arbitrary position on the surface of a pile of the bulk materials while arbitrarily directing a gathering conveyor by providing a scraping device on the tip part of the gathering conveyor operated freely to luff and turn. CONSTITUTION:A gathering device is constituted with a gathering conveyor 15 free to luff and turn and a scraping device 16 fixed on the tip of the conveyor 15. And, bulk materials such as coal C, etc., piled in heaps are scraped into the tip part of the conveyor 15 by means of the device 16, and transferred to the base end part of the conveyor 15 for gathering coal. Namely, it is possible to gather the bulk materials from an arbitrary position on the surface of the pile of the bulk materials while directing the gathering conveyor in the arbitrary direction since the scraping device is provided on the tip part of the gathering conveyor operated freely to luff and turn. And further, it is possible to safely gather any bulk materials without collapsing the pile along with the secure scraping of the bulk materials, offering advantages of being the light weight and reduced power consumption of the gathering device. |
