THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent mechanical strength and compatibility, consisting of a thermoplastic polyester, polyphenylene sulfide and a novolak type epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:0.1-20pts.wt. novolak type epoxy resin is blended with 100pts.wt. mixture consisting of 99-60pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3-1.5dl/g such as polyhexamethylene terephthalate and 1- 40pts.wt. polyphenylene sulfide contg. at least 70mol% of the structural unit of the formula. EFFECT:Resistance to hydrolysis and heat of thermoplastic polyester can be greatly improved, and there can be obtd. a compsn. which has excellent resistance to bleed and melt flow stability at high temp. and gives moldings having smooth surface appearance even under conventional molding conditions.
