PURPOSE:To provide a polyoxymethylene compsn. having improved impact resistance, by mixing an olefin copolymer composed of an alpha-olefin and a glycidyl ester of an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid with polyoxymethylene. CONSTITUTION:1-100pts.wt. olefin copolymer composed of an alpha-olefin and a glycidyl ester of an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid is mixed with 100pts.wt. polyoxymethylene. Polyoxymethylene having a number-average MW of 10,000-100,000 is preferred. When the number-average MW is less than 10,000, no sufficient mechanical properties can be obtd., while when the MW is more than 100,000, moldability becomes poor. As the glycidyl ester of the alpha,beta-unsaturated acid, glycidyl methacrylate is preferred. The pref. quantity of copolymerization of the glycidyl ester is within the range of 1 to 50wt%. |
