In manufacturing a color television display tube, a reference system is used to adjust the various components of the tube to each other. The system uses the deflection center(and in some cases aloso the electron-optical axis) of a deflection device as a reference point to adjust the tube components. Marks may be provided on the cone of the tube. The assembling of the neck and cone portions, guns, and display windows is also described.
