A device for holding stockings to be shaped has a plurality of shaping bodies (8) which are matched to the stocking to be shaped and which are mounted in a holding ring (3) so as each to be rotatable independently about an eccentric axis. To provide a device in which, after the shaping, finishing or the like of identical stockings, they do not have to be drawn to an equal length, a radially extending rod-shaped stop member (12) for limiting the pivoting travel of the shaping bodies and a number of holding arms (15) corresponding to the number of shaping bodies are provided, each shaping body being assigned a holding arm. Each holding arm is pivotable in the region of the holding ring about a horizontal and about a vertical axis. Two respective holding arms can be connected to one another for clamping the stocking and released from one another for freeing the stocking by means of a holding spring (17) arranged in the region of the free end of one of the holding arms. For mounting the stop member (12) and the holding arms (15), the holding ring (3) carrying the shaping body (8) is assigned an upper holding ring (2) arranged above it (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
